THEATRES DES VAMPIRES Complete Work On 'Nightbreed of Macabria'
March 8, 2004Italian melodic black metal band THEATRES DES VAMPIRES have completed work on their new album, "Nightbreed of Macabria", due in Europe in May through PlasticHead/Blackend Records. A U.S. release through Candlelight is expected in September.
According to an official press release, "some songs [on] the album will be the soundtrack of the upcoming movie 'Edge of the Darkness' directed by David Bracci (Dario Argento's collaborator),produced by Polivideo. The other tracks of the soundtrack will be composed and directed by Fabian 'Necros', the keyboard player of the band. The film release is planned for September 2004.
"The new CD by THEATRES DES VAMPIRES is the most orchestral ever produced by the band. For this reason, THEATRES DES VAMPIRES used several musicians and vocalists to create the macabre and grotesque atmosphere, [closely resembling] the Tim Burton's 'Nightmare Before Christimas' feeling.
"The new album will be a complete musical change of the band, that leaves definitively the black metal atmosphere and produces a symphonic gothic horror album. The album will feature also a bonus track, the remixed version of 'La Danse Macabre du Vampire', already released [on] the 2002 'Suicide Vampire' album and today remixed in a brand new way."
